Since the onset of summer, Yancheng has been plagued by sustained high temperatures, thunderstorms and frequent severe convective weather. To effectively mitigate safety risks arising from high-temperature operations in summer, safeguard employees’ physical and mental health, and maintain stable and orderly production at the plant, Yancheng Xinfujiete Machinery Co., Ltd. (trading as JETE FITTINGS) has launched a special rectification campaign for summer workplace safety, building a solid corporate safety line with rigorous and meticulous management.

For high-risk hot working posts including machining, welding, pressure testing and grinding, the company has continuously optimized production schedules by implementing staggered shifts and rotational rest systems to avoid strenuous high-intensity work during midday peak heat. Comprehensive heatstroke prevention and cooling support have been rolled out across the plant: additional ventilation and cooling equipment has been installed in workshops; cooling drinks are available round-the-clock in pantries and rest areas; emergency heatstroke supplies such as Huoxiang Zhengqi Liquid and cooling balm are fully stocked. Pre-shift health reminders are issued on a regular basis to eliminate fatigued work and working while unwell.

In light of the characteristics of hydraulic flange and hydraulic tube machining, the company carries out daily inspections and weekly comprehensive checks for summer safety hazards. Key control is enforced over critical links including CNC equipment, electrical circuits, hot welding operations, dust treatment, high-pressure pressure testing stations, hazardous chemical storage, as well as flood and lightning protection for the whole factory. Hidden dangers such as equipment overheating overload, aging wiring, oil pipeline leakage and scattered debris on site are identified promptly, rectified immediately and managed under closed-loop mechanisms to eliminate safety incidents at the source.

Meanwhile, the company keeps strengthening company-wide safety education and emergency response capacity building. Team-based special training and drills covering summer heat safety, fire fighting, heatstroke first aid and flood emergency response are organized to further raise all staff’s awareness of the safety red line and proficiency in emergency disposal. Procedures for special operations are strictly standardized, and workplace safety operation specifications are fully complied with.
